Black Horse Vision

In early September 1984 Mike Bickle, Augustine, and Bob Jones traveled from Kansas City to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where they were to minister at a conference (Augustine had traveled in from Arizona). They drove down there with two others very active SKCF members at the time, Louie McGeorge and Jerry Reardon in Jerry Reardon’s station wagon. The meetings were held in a high school gym and ended up drawing approximately one thousand attendees. During the conference, Augustine and Bob Jones were unusually accurate in their prophetic declarations and words of knowledge. As the two shared, Mike assisted the people in understanding the messages they were hearing. Augustine was on the stage prophesying to members of the crowd and Bob Jones was sure he had the word of the Lord for an elderly woman in the audience because he could sense the anointing of the Lord upon her. He told Mike that he wanted to go on the stage and interrupt what Augustine was doing, so he could give her the word. At that moment, however, Augustine called on the very same woman that Bob had the word for. Augustine said in a gentle voice, “Mother, would you come down here to where I am at?” The old lady responded by slowly hobbling up to the platform. In his mind, Mike was thinking, “Man, Augustine, give the lady a break and let her sit down.”

It turned out that the elderly lady was a prophetess and had received a vision from the Lord about coming to the meeting. When she arrived at the front, Augustine said to her, “Mother, I have never done this before, but I think the Holy Spirit has told me that you need to pray for me.” The woman then began praying in tongues in a very loud and powerful voice with authority. She then looked over at Bob Jones and began to prophesy over him. She proclaimed: “THE LORD HAS MADE YOU A PROPHET WITH UNDERSTANDING IN REGARD TO THE NATION OF ISRAEL!” Bob thought that was powerful. She then began to prophesy to Augustine,“You have had experiences in the Holy Spirit where you have seen demons, and you have had experiences where you have seen angels. But you have never seen angels and demons together in the same experience.” Augustine concurred that this was the truth. She then proclaimed again: “But now, you will have a vision where you will see them fighting each other and there will be a manifestation in the flesh to show that this is of me, and this will happen immediately. And this will have meaning beyond what you can comprehend. Thus, sayeth the Lord”

Mike and Augustine drove back to Kansas City separately from the others. The Spirit of God came upon Augustine, and he began prophesying elements of the Blueprint prophecy. Until this time, Mike had not shared the Blueprint prophecy with him or many others, but now Augustine started prophesying some of the specific points of the document to Mike (that there would be 5 locations specifically), as well other things found in it to include the future of the youth movement. This was the confirmation for Mike that he should show it to Augustine the Blueprint prophecy which he did a few weeks later. On September 13th. After they had got back home Mike and Augustine visited a rather prominent member of the fellowship who was a professional athlete. That evening Mike tried to drive home, but his car didn’t work. So, they were stuck, and they had to spend the night at this man’s home. At 5 a.m., Mike was fast asleep, when suddenly he was awakened by what seemed to be like a hammer striking him on his right knee, causing a searing, agonizing pain. Mike, in agony, immediately looked over and saw Augustine over in the corner of the room having what appeared to be a nightmare. Mike was hearing him intensely crying out under his breath for Michael the archangel to help.

After he got up that morning Augustine described how he had experienced a powerful dream in which he was with Mike in the middle of a road. In front of them he saw a tiny, two or three feet tall white pony walking in the middle of the road, like he owned the road. The pony looked young and as if it was really enjoying life, when suddenly he saw a huge, black, nine-foot tall horse coming towards it. The black horse was snorting, full of fury and rage. The black horse was a giant demon that hated the white horse. It came up to it and kicked it, shattering the little white pony’s right kneecap.

“Well,” Mike asked, “What happened next?”

Augustine continued: “The pony struggled there for some time, then the huge black horse started coming towards me and I was afraid, so I cried for Michael the archangel to come help me and he did. Michael came down from Heaven and sent the black horse away.”

Augustine then relayed to Mike and his host how he had seen a man in the dream, who was a local pastor, standing behind the black horse sneering at him and what was going on. Then an angel spoke to Augustine said, “When they (whom the little white horse represented) go to the East, this man will attack and there will be a great attack against this little white horse.” But the angel made clear that the Lord would take care of it. Then Augustine said he looked and saw that the little white horse suddenly became a huge white Pegasus with nine-foot wings in length. It came bursting out of the ditch where it had been with great authority and power into the sky. Then in the dream, Augustine looked at the angel and cried out, saying, “What about the Blueprint prophecy? Was it of God or not of God?” The angel answered, “This prophecy has great light and much truth, but my servant (who wrote it) has these three issues…” Augustine noted to Mike that two of the “issues” mentioned by the angel regarding Carl Autry seemed negative, and the other one seemed positive. Those issues were never revealed publicly. Noel Alexander visited him once later and confirmed that assessment that the Angel spoke.

Now in the dream the angel had told Augustine that when the movement was “kicked,” it was not to strike back, but that God would bring justice in time. The vision was told to several staff members at the time, but not to the congregation. This experience, because of the physical pain, caused some disruption for Mike and he had to cancel all his meetings for a day to go to the hospital and deal with the issue in his right knee. For two weeks the pain remained. It was not until a local businessman prayed for Mike’s knee in his office that his knee began to recover. Once, during the two-week period that Mike’s right knee was in pain, Julie Hupi saw Mike entering one of the prayer meetings limping. She went to Louie McGeorge to ask him what was wrong. Louie responded, “A demon kicked Mike in the knee. Some guys get all the luck.”

On September 15th of 1984 (Pat’s birthday), Rick Roeber and Michelle Keller got married and they held their reception in Pat’s backyard off 108th near Holmes. His home was next to a cemetery that some of my family members are buried in. Gary Kroeze was a frequent guest of Pat’s. Whenever Gary came in town, he would also share with the people who lived in Pat’s house and others, like Rick and Michelle, what was going on with the farms in Zimbabwe in which the fellowship had started to support and invest in. Michelle and almost everyone in the fellowship held Gary in reverent awe. As if he where some very holy man (almost like the Apostle Paul). But Michelle observed Pat and noticed that he treated Gary naturally like everyone else. The lowly and everyone else generally, were the same in Pat’s eyes and he was absolutely no respecter of persons. Michelle remembers one meeting Gary organized and held at Pat’s house. Gary invited close friends of Pat’s that included his brother-in-law, Jeff Heuermann and his sister Kelly, Rick, and Michelle; and shared with them about Zimbabwe. From that meeting, Rick and Michelle struck up a letter writing relationship with one the people who lived on one of the farms in Zimbabwe. ,
